Walkers With Wheels
Walkers with Wheels
Walkers with wheels allow for fluid motion and help those who may have balance issues but have full function of their legs. The lightweight models can provide the support needed while not hampering speed of movement.
Walkers with wheels come with either two or four wheels that are either stationary or swivel. Many four-wheeled walkers have swiveling wheels in the front and stationary ones in the back for better control. Having swiveling wheels allows for quicker movements over a larger range without a great deal of effort. Some highly maneuverable models include brakes to keep the walker under control.
Walkers permit greater mobility
Walkers with wheels permit the greatest flexibility of activities and uses, especially when combined with a seat and/or accessories such as storage baskets, bags and cup holders. They can be used by seniors, those undergoing rehabilitation and with balance issues, as well as those who have weight issues. They are especially well-suited for people who are used to being very active, but need assistance.
